Objectives:
Designing a product to enhance the public experience.

Target: The public
In the streets of Cairo lays many abandoned structures, some of which could be more useful than others. However all could be reused, reconstructed to form once again a useful product. The public does not pay attention to the value of these public materials and they tend to neglect its importance.

Language:
One of the frequently found public structures are the metal skeletons of old chairs, the seat shapes vary but there is a standard structure. The structure consists of three main components; two identical parts that form the legs, and another that connects the legs, base and back of the chair. The lines of this structure is widely known for people and are perceived as seating elements even when they do not function, as a result I will make use of their semantics while re designing them to create different seating elements.

Concept: Public Materials
Develop seating elements from broken or used metal chair structures that are not needed anymore on the streets. That is to raise awareness on the importance of materials and to direct the public to the material’s true value. Taking into account the familiar semantics in the collective memory of the individuals. As a result they subconsciously relate to the object and directly know seating element.
